In 2026 there are six main routes to the UK: skilled work with a sponsor, top talent (Global Talent), graduates of top universities (HPI), innovative entrepreneurship (Innovator Founder), study and family (partner of a British citizen or settled person). On most routes, the yearly Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is paid on top of the visa fee.
